FIRST INSTALLATION |
|
| 1. |
Before installation of a STREAMLINER M, the
grease fitting should be manually lubricated using a grease
gun and with the vent plug removed (if fitted) to be sure that
the lubricant passage is neither blocked nor restricted. It is
recommended this procedure to be conducted using either the
same or a compatible lubricant with what is contained in the STREAMLINER M. Provided local safety standards are
complied with, it is also suggested this procedure to be
accomplished while the bearing is at operating speed and
temperature |
| 2. |
If any doubt exists,
it is recommended to test the backpressure of bearing with
grease gun connected to pressure gauge. Please make sure break
off pressure should not exceed 500 psi (approx. 35 kg-f/㎠:
34.5 bar) and delivery pressure should not exceed 200 psi (14
kg-f/㎠:
13.8bar).
|
| 3. |
Insert the STREAMLINER M BATTERY PACK into the battery compartment of main unit.
Unscrew the cap of STREAMLINER M GREASE POUCH. Position the pouch outlet onto the pump
suction inlet. Fit the Top cover to main unit. Be careful! It is high-tension spring-loaded and
needs caution.
|
| 4. |
| Turn a new STREAMLINER M on
by depressing the POWER button for two seconds.
And then confirm LCD turned on and red LED blinks. As
long as LCD is displayed, the unit is working. To test
unit operation, simply follow the FUNCTION TEST
MODE: |
-
Depress POWER button first and then
depress 125/250cc button within next 2
seconds.
-
Unit will continuously
operate unless POWER button is depressed.
-
To deactivate FUNCTION
TEST MODE, depress POWER button again. Unit will stop
testing within less than 2 seconds.
|
| * For any
malfunction or trouble encountered, please refer to
troubleshooting
guideline. |
|
| 5. |
Depress MODE button to set
dispensing rate. Each time MODE button is depressed; the
dispensing rate changes from 1,2,3,6, and 12 month.
|
| 6. |
Remove grease nipple and
replace it with a standard reducer of 1/8” or 1/4”(NPT or BSP)
attached to the output thread of STREAMLINER M is well
tightened to it. Its durable 3/8”(NPT or BSP) brass thread
makes sure excellent fitting even under severe vibration or
shock load.
|
| 7. |
For installation that
involves extreme vibration, excessive heat, or a service
location considered dangerous, use the remote mounting bracket
(clamping device) and a flexible hose of no less than 1/4”
I.D. (Internal Diameter) and preferably, no longer than 3
feet, 1 meter.
|
|
IMPORTANT: Be
sure to fill the flexible hose with lubricant prior
installation. STREAMLINER M units have a shelf life of two
years warranty from date of
delivery. |
|
